What are you making?

We're a two-person game studio and "variety shop" working on several things! We make games, art, music, and surprises from our home studio in rural Appalachia. Our goal is to pursue ideas we love that we feel have been abandoned by the big studios. With your Patreon support, we can keep our projects authentic, free from the influence of corporate money and investor pressures.

Wizwag (shows some character sprites also)

Wizwag is a top-down action adventure game inspired by Link's Awakening, Twin Peaks, childhood experiences in the forests and towns of rural Appalachia, and much besides. Wizwag aims to capture a very specific gamefeel and vibe, and all work on the game must pass this filter.

THIS GAME IS OUR PRIMARY FOCUS UNTIL RELEASE! Wizwag has been in development for ~2 years in our spare time. Now, with commitment and your support, we can get it across the finish line.

We want to release this game on August 6th, 2025. However, our ability to hit that date is dependent on being able to work on the game full-time or near full-time, and afford any devkits we need for ports, hiring localizers for several languages, etc! It's possible we will have to push the release back to 2026.

The Legend of Knil is a game dev education / FOSS project. It will be a simpler top-down adventure game than Wizwag, with slower, less nimble combat, and a more "arcade" feel.

This game is being written entirely in C with SDL3, and will come with source code archives "chaptered" throughout the game's development, and will include instructions for building the game for Windows, macOS, and HTML5, as well as guides for making some changes to the codebase.

The final game will be data driven and modder friendly, and could be considered a stripped down "Z1 engine." Our hope is that it will give people an easy "in" to C game development on modern systems without large, complex tools like Visual Studio and CMake.

Why SDL3 over Raylib? Good question! I may change my mind. :)

TO GO HOME

TO GO HOME is a first-person pseudo-3D puzzle horror game in the rendering style of DOOM, but with gameplay more like MYST plus Amnesia. This game is set in the same universe as Wizwag and will present a kind of "flash sideways" look at events from that game.

This game is written in C and contains an integrated 3D editor for its levels. If we get to finish the game, the source code will be made available to our supporters!

This project was prototyped in March 2024, and fell by the wayside when work projects piled up and consumed all my time and energy. With your support, we could find time to return to it!

DEV STREAMS

When possible, we will run at least one stream each week where we work on Wizwag, and hang out. Patrons can attend to chat, ask questions, get help with their own projects, etc!

We may also stream music production in the future, work on other projects, or other things...
